Carson’s primary area of interest is economics. He is a member of the Economics Club at school, where he mentors students younger than him.  He also works as a volunteer for an organization that studies poverty via an economic lens.


What challenges did he face?

  • This program allows him to attempt writing a research paper and he managed to complete a 4,000-word paper. Despite having many ideas, he needed to master the ‘correct’ approach and flow of writing an academic research paper.


Matched professor:

The mentor works at the University of Surrey. He serves as a Deputy Head of School, Undergraduate Program Director and Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Economics.


How did our program help him?

  • This program helped him strengthen his primary research abilities at the university level.
