Kabir was a part-time employee for Innova Investments where he analytics, risk assessment, and finance. He also contributes to his local newspaper, “The Finance Memo,” by writing finance-related columns.
What challenges did he face?
- As an inquisitive student, Kabir was overly ambitious on his research endeavor. He needed to talk to his mentor to limit down the subjects worth investigating.

The mentor is a finance associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and he is also an Associate Dean at California State University, Dominguez Hills’ College of Business and Public Policy. He formerly worked as a consultant for the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme, and the Asian Development Bank.

- Kabir gained knowledge of the research process, which will be useful when he starts university. He was writing a professional academic research report for the first time.
