What challenges did she face?
- Initially, Felicia was having trouble finding certain articles and books that her mentor had recommended. It was frustrating but she overcame them and did not let them hold her back.
- She was required to read academic articles in a variety of fields, including Science and Technology Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, History, and Organizational Management.

The mentor is a lecturer who teaches Urban Health and Criminal Justice at the University of Pennsylvania. He is particularly interested in health, criminal justice, gender, social psychology, and military studies.
