She has dream university set on either the London School of Economics or the University of St. Andrews. Outside of her academic studies, she competes in state-level competition swimming as an extracurricular sport. In 2020, her overall school results were 91.4%.

What challenges did she face?

  • She already knew the basics of economics, but she needed a strong extracurricular activity to add to her college application portfolio.
  • She wants to engage with a mentor who can assist her in preparing for undergraduate curriculum.

The mentor works at the University of Surrey. He serves as a Deputy Head of School, Undergraduate Program Director and Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Economics.


How did our program help her?

  • She was able to learn economics concepts at the undergraduate level with the help of her mentor.
  • She gained a lot more experience writing academic research papers, including writing sections on recommendations.
