Ranvit is a founder member of the PSG College Artificial Intelligence and Robotics group and the Head of Logistics Division for IEEE Student Chapter 12951. He is now working toward a Bachelor of Science in Teleoperation and Machine Learning. The IEEE ISMAC 2019 conference accepted his research paper, “Implementation of Multi-Agent Mobile Robot System for Performing Cooperative Tasks.”

WHAT CHALLENGES DID HE FACE?
- In order to apply to his dream Master’s program, Ranvit aimed to enhance his portfolio through the work done in this mentorship.
MATCHED PROFESSOR:
The mentor is a lecturer at MIT in the Mathematics Department. He also serves as an investment manager, exploiting advanced statistical analytics to manage a variety of investment programs.
HOW DID OUR PROGRAM HELP HIM?
- We paired Ranvit with the professor so that they could work together to organize data in R, analyze real-world data, and build pertinent probability distributions.
- He already had a solid grasp of other programming techniques, so studying R from the professor allowed him to advance intellectually.
- The instructor consented to write a reference letter for the student.
